As many knows google sent a C&D letter to cyanogen because he was including proprietary apps in his updates.
So he can’t do it anymore and the whole community started to search for solutions.
And this new app is simply my contribute.
System app backupper allows anyone to backup system apps and then restore them on a rom that does not contain them. You could find it on market, it is ready for 1.6.
Maybe it will cause Force Closes if you restore NON NEEDED system apps on a different rom. Search XDA forum to understand what apps are really needed

Great job on the applications you’re releasing! I tried searching for this one; however, I wasn’t able to locate it in the marketplace. Perhaps for future releases when you do release them in the Marketplace you should also add them in your posts so we can download them directly – if we can’t find them in the Marketplace.
Thanks! And keep up the great work!

You can’t find it in market because it is in donut (1.6) market. It is built for it.
If you try to manually install it on 1.5 (cupcake) you’ll get an error

Is it possible to make this compatible with 1.5? I’m using a Rogers Magic, and the Exchange client it comes with works nicely (it has calendar sync!). I want to be able to install that on CyanogenMod.
Let us know!
